Katie Heibeck
PLPC
Tween, Teen & Young Adult Therapist
Katie approaches each client with patience, flexibility, and understanding, meeting them where they are and supporting them through a humanistic lens, which centers on appreciation for each child’s unique perspective, strengths, and feelings while helping them grow and thrive at their own pace

She uses an integrative intervention approach blending CBT, ACT, and experiential techniques such as play, creative/art, and movement-based activities, which allow children to use their natural language to express themselves and build new skills. She believes that when children and teens feel valued and acknowledged for who they are, they are better able to strengthen their sense of self and navigate life's ups and downs with resilience. Goals are developed collaboratively with children and families to strengthen connection, understanding, and support for continued growth and future progress.
